Our dedicated OneHMT team had the privilege of attending the LBC Global Safety Day events at the Seabrook, TX and Sunshine, LA facilities. We got the chance to celebrate, as we participated in a day filled with learning, collaboration, and recognition.
The highlight of these events was the recognition HMT received for our unwavering commitment to safety. We are thrilled to share that HMT walked away with three prestigious awards for safety excellence:
- HMT: LBC Contractor Safety Excellence Award 2023 – Diamond
- HMT Inspection: LBC Contractor Safety Excellence Award – Gold
- HMT Products: LBC Contractor Safety Excellence Award - Gold
These accolades are a testament to the hard work and dedication of every member of the HMT team, showcasing our collective commitment to upholding the highest safety standards.

Beyond the awards, the day was filled with opportunities to forge connections and share experiences. Our team immersed themselves in sessions led by various contractors, gaining unique insights on topics ranging from fall protection to hot work. These discussions were not only applicable to our professional practices but also resonated deeply with our personal lives, underscoring the importance of safety in all aspects.
A standout moment was the enlightening session by Richard Wilds, our East HSEQ Manager. He shared valuable insights into our REACH card program and its success within our team, highlighting the effectiveness of our safety initiatives and the vital role each of us plays in maintaining high safety standards.
“From work to friendship, working with our local HMT Team is a pleasure. Our local HMT Team presented the REACH program at our Global Safety Day, I had some of my contractors that attended reaching out to me the next morning wanting more information on HMT’s REACH program. I was very happy to share the information with them and proud that it was presented at our event,” said Darrel Heil, LBC Maintenance Supervisor.
Additionally, we had the chance to showcase all lines of our business through our trailer presentation, reinforcing our commitment to safety across every aspect of our operations. It was an excellent opportunity to demonstrate our dedication to excellence and solidify our reputation as global industry leaders.
Of course, no event is complete without great food and even better company. Throughout the day, we shared laughs, stories, and delicious meals with the LBC team, further strengthening the bonds between our organizations.
