Fabrication
HMT Fabrication Services are available for all facets of Aboveground Storage Tank appurtenances. Welders are qualified to ASME IX standards with inspection and examination qualified to ASME V standards. Complete flexibility is available to conform to multiple additional standards or custom procedures.
Shield metal arc, flux cored arc, gas tungsten arc and gas metal arc are the primary welding types utilized by HMT’s Fabrication Services Group.
Complementing the full range of welding capabilities are a complete range of non-destructive examination capabilities. Weld examinations can include visual, liquid penetrate, vacuum box, magnetic particle and radiographic to provide high quality appurtenances without concern of possible rework.
State of the art equipment is in use everywhere at HMT Fabrication. Capabilities range from automatic welding machines capable of performing multiple welding processes to fully qualified and trained hand welders. Precise cuts are controlled through the use of Computer Numerical Controlled burning tables and precise welding control is achieved with automated welding equipment. Even continuous or intermittent stitch welds on fillet joints are controlled through the use of automated welding machines.
