Separator Seal
HMT's Floating Roof Double Seal for Oil-Water Separator Basins and Tanks represents a major
breakthrough in separator seal technology. This
new Double Seal exceeds all environmental requirements,
while delivering a greatly extended service life.
It is constructed of 25 mil thick Petroflex® PTFE
(Teflon®) and stainless steel material. The Double
Seal is durable, and it resists abrasion, rain,
ultraviolet rays and most waste products.
Traditional seals for Oily Water Separators consist of
urethane foam logs wrapped with non-abrasive, resistant
materials, which result in a limited life span.
Once these elastomeric materials deteriorate, they
become hazardous material, resulting in additional
disposal costs.
In addition to spanning the irregular
shapes between the floating roof and the separator wall,
HMT's Double Seal exceeds all EPA and local regulatory
agency gap requirements. Seal installation can
normally be completed within one working day. This new
emission control system is yet another example of HMT's
"Innovative Solutions" philosophy and our commitment to
providing quality products to the petroleum industry.
